Dear Parents,
Did you know that registering your child for Free School Meals and Clothing Grant means that the School can get extra money? If a child is eligible Schools receive funding for six years after the claim! We can also get extra money for children of Service Personnel. This has a huge impact on provision for your children in school. This is not to be confused with the Universal Free School Meals which all infant children are entitled to.
If you get any of these benefits, then please register –
- Income Support
- Income-based Jobseeker’s allowance
- Income related and Support Allowance
- Support under part V1 of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
- Child Tax Credit provided you are not entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual income (as assessed by HMRC) that does not exceed £16,190. Working Tax credit during the 4 week period immediately after your employment ceases, or after you start to work less than 16 hours per week.
- Guarantee element of State Pension Credit
- Universal Credit.
To check if you are eligible please either complete the attached form and return to school as soon as possible or alternatively you can apply online at (https://emsonline.cumbria.gov.uk/CitizenPortal_LIVE) after 12.00 noon on 16th May, 2018.
