25th May, 2016

Dear Parents,

We are hoping to take Classes 4, 5, and 6 to see the “Epic Journey through history in Lego” exhibition at the Rheged Centre at Penrith on Monday the 18th of July.

This should be a fun and informative day for the children as they will get to see the lego movie in 3D, tour the exhibition, create wind powered trains, make various items all from lego including a mosaic portrait, a roman style catapult, a graffiti Hadrian’s wall, make and race lego sheep and have lots of free play with the lego too.

We will provide a packed lunch and drink for each child but you may wish to provide extra drinks for the day.  The cost of the coach and entrance to the Gallery will require a donation of £16.00 per child, and you may pay this in instalments if you prefer.  Please send all money in a sealed envelope.

The children would need to wear their school uniform and suitable outwear for the day.   We will be leaving school just after 9.00 and return for approximately 5.00pm.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs. Angela Walton

Headteacher

I give permission for (child’s name)………………………………………..…………………………..……to go on the school trip on Monday the 18th of July  and enclose £16.00.

I consent to any emergency medical treatment during the course of the visit.  Emergency contact number………………………………………………………………………………………The Local Authority’s Employers’ Liability and Public Insurance Policy will apply during education visits in the same way as they do at School during the normal working day.  This means that there is insurance cover only where the Authority or the employees are shown to be at fault for injury to staff, pupils or other persons or for damage to their property.  Claims would be against the Authority not against a Teacher personally.
