Dear Parents,

 

You may remember as part of our Artsweek in November we had a community Project to design a bobble hat.  This was then knit by Mrs. Walton and placed on a lego house.  It was later submitted as an entry in the Cumbria Schools’ Winter Warmth competition.

 

Our School and Cumbria winner was Harry Rawlinson in Year 1 with runners up Greg Hillman Year 1, Ruby Ashworth Year 2 and Amy Gibson Year 1.

 

Harry was presented with a £200 voucher for school from Derwent Pencils at the Pencil Museum in Keswick on Monday 4^th March 2013, by the Bishop of Carlisle.  He also received a treat for himself.  The runners up will get a free family entry to the Pencil Museum.

 

Congratulations to all the pupils and many thanks to all families who participated.

 

                                                                 

Red Nose Day is on Friday the 15^th March.  Your child may come to school dressed in Red, wearing something funny, (but practical please) or in a Comic Relief T-shirt for a donation to the Charity.

 

Red noses are still on sale in the office (£1).  They are going fast, so do not forget to purchase one quickly if you so wish, so that your child is not disappointed.
