16th July 2020
Dear Parents,
It was exciting to see so many children in school today, all with smiley, happy faces. The sessions in all classes went very well. This will give confidence to children, parents, and staff about returning to school in September.
I will be writing to you in August again, as schools will receive further government guidance around this time. It is too early to say how many “bubbles” we will have in school and give you any other details. Our risk assessment will be updated before the children return to school in September.
Provisionally, we expect all classes to be in their own rooms as they were today, using their own doors on arrival and collection from school. The one-way system will still be in place.
We expect to stagger children’s arrival and collection times in September to reduce the number of people on our school grounds:
| | Morning Session | Afternoon Session |
| Pre-School (Parrots) | 8.45 – 11.15am | 12.15-3.15pm |
| Nursery (Robins) | 8.45 – 11.45am | 12.15-3.15pm |
| | Drop off Time | Collection Time |
| Reception/Year 1 (Toucan) | 8.30am | 2.30pm |
| Reception/Year 1 (Kingfisher) | 8.30am | 2.30pm |
| Year 2 (Flamingo) | 9am | 3pm |
School lunches will continue to be supplied by Dowdales kitchen and will be grab bags with a choice of meal each day.
I hope you all have a lovely Summer break and I look forward to welcoming you all back to school on the 2nd September 2020.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs A Walton
