                                                                                      29th January 2018

Dear Parents,

It has been good to get the playground back to normal now that the second phase of the roof has been completed. The children have enjoyed getting out equipment at playtimes and being able to run free!

The “Pupil Voice” group met last week and have put forward lots of ideas for playground improvements. We have now ordered an extra storage unit for use in the main playground to accommodate new sports and play equipment. We are also looking to improve and repair the safety surfacing around school. The children have also asked for the benches to be painted in rainbow colours. One of the things the children have asked for is prams and babies. Does anyone have a previously loved doll, pram or buggy that they could donate?

In March all the children will be asked to take part in a sponsored skip in aid of the School playground funds and The British Heart Foundation. Children may bring their own skipping ropes into school to use at playtimes and practise from now on.

On Thursday 1st March it is World Book Day when the children may come to school dressed as their favourite character from a book.

There will be a parents evening on Monday the 26th of February from 3.00pm to 6.00pm.  Parents can sign up for appointments from Monday 19th February when lists will be available in each classroom.

Reminder that school closes at 3.00pm on Friday 9th February for half term and re-opens on Monday 19th February.

Yours sincerely,

Angela Walton
