                                                                             3rd October 2017

Dear Parents,

On Thursday 12th October you are invited to a Harvest Assembly at 2.00pm in the School Hall.  This year our chosen charity is the Barrow Foodbank so we would be extremely grateful for donations of tinned and packaged food, pet food, nappies, toiletries and sanitary products.

Many thanks for your support of the Coffee Afternoon.  We raised £281.68, a cheque for £141.68 has been sent to the MacMillan Charity, and £140 towards our playground improvements.

Could I remind parents that all children’s clothing, drink bottles and bags should be clearly labelled to avoid losing equipment and save time.

The final date for the order of Christmas Cards is Thursday 5th October and for photographs Thursday 12th October.

Each year we have an “Arts Week” which this year begins on Monday the 16th October.  The theme of the week will be based around famous artists.

The children may purchase a “Lets Create” T-shirt to wear during the Arts Week instead of their white polo shirt, or over their sweatshirts.  The children can wear these all week in place of their uniform. The T-shirts from previous years can all still be worn.

If you would like to order a new one for your child to wear during this year’s event, please fill in the slip below, and return as soon as possible, with your remittance.  There are three sizes available, age 3/4, 5/6 and age 7/8. (We suggest you order a larger one than needed so they can wear it each year!) The T-shirts cost £4.50 each, and will have the “Lets Create” logo embroidered on them.  We also have one or two pre-owned t-shirts available at £2 each.

On Friday 20th October there will be an opportunity for parents to come into school from 2.00pm to 3.00pm to see how their child has settled in their new classes.

If anyone has time to come into school and listen to readers it would be greatly appreciated, please see your child’s class teacher to arrange a convenient time.

Many thanks for your continued support during the building works which are progressing well when the weather allows.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs. Angela Walton

Headteacher
