                                                                                                13th March 2017

Dear Parents,

Many thanks to everyone who supported our Coffee Morning on Saturday which raised £225.10.

Red Nose Day is on Friday 24th March when the children may come to school dressed in something red for a donation to the charity.

We still have red noses for sale at £1 each from the office.

A copy of our uniform is below, may I draw your attention in particular to the paragraph on hair as we have noticed that some pupils have holiday cuts in term time.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs. Angela Walton

Headteacher

Uniform

Nursery. There is no requirement for children to wear uniform in Nursery, however many children do wear the school sweatshirt or cardigan.

In Reception and Key Stage 1 the School uniform is:

GREY pinafore, skirt or trousers, long or short.

ROYAL BLUE sweatshirt/cardigan with School logo

       WHITE polo shirt

GREY or WHITE ankle socks, knee socks or tights.

       Suitable flat heeled BLACK shoes

         Suitable outdoor coat

SUMMER TERM ONLY

Girls may wear a PALE BLUE AND WHITE checked or striped dress and a Royal blue Cardigan with School logo.

For P.E. the children should wear a white round necked T shirt, navy shorts and slip on plimsolls.

All clothing must be clearly named. The uniform can be obtained at most local clothes shops. Sweatshirts with the School name are available from “The New Rig Out" in Dalton, or "Identity" in Barrow.

HAIR: Long hair should be tied back for health and safety, particularly in PE.  Extreme haircuts are discouraged, for example hair should be no shorter than a number 2 cut and no patterns should be cut into the scalp.

EARRINGS:- these can be dangerous in School as they can be caught when dressing and undressing.  WE STRONGLY ADVISE THAT EARRINGS ARE NOT WORN IN SCHOOL.  THEY CANNOT BE WORN DURING PE AND SWIMMING.  This also applies to all other items of jewellery.
