25th June, 2015

Dear Parents,

Many thanks for your support during our 1960’s History Week.  The children learnt a great deal and they looked amazing in their 1960’s costumes!  For those of us who lived through the 1960’s it was a happy reminder of days gone by!

It is with some sadness that I inform you officially of Mrs. Harrison’s retirement in the Summer.  After 19 busy, happy years at Chapel Street Infants and Nursery, we wish Mrs. Harrison well and hope she enjoys her retirement to the full!

Your child has visited their new class today.  The classes are as follows:

Nursery       -        Mrs. C. Long, Mrs. K. Lett

Class 1         -        Miss J. Ambrose

Class 2         -        Mrs. S. Kerr

Class 4         -        Miss V. Burns

Class 5         -        Mrs. D. Fuller

Class 6         -        Miss. C. Barnes.

We have restructured the Staff as a result of the two retirements in School.

Just to let you know that School has purchased “Cybercoach” for another year.  As a family you can access the site and join in the fun activities to promote health and well being.

Camo Day is on Friday where your child, should they so wish, may dress in camouflage or uniforms, eg, Police, Fire, Nurse, Soldier etc, to support SSAFA.  Donations may be brought to School towards the Charity.

We are also due to sing at the “Big Sing” on Friday at St. Mary’s Church.  We are walking to Church for 1.30pm and will return to School for 3.00pm.  We anticipate arriving on time but in the event of us being late I must apologise in advance and hope that you will bear with us and wait.

Naturally if it is too wet to walk, arrangements might change and the celebrations may have to be cancelled.

Many thanks for your support.

Yours sincerely,
