Dear Parents

 

I informed you a few weeks ago about the extensive refurbishment to our roof, staffroom, intervention room and disabled toilet during the summer holidays; together with the possible delay of finishing the works prior to the new academic year in September 2015.

 

To help the works progress, the Governors of Chapel Street Infants and Nursery have made the decision to close School one day earlier on Thursday July 16^th at 3.00pm rather than the Friday July 17^th at 2.00pm so that the appropriate areas can be cleared and the scaffolders can erect the equipment earlier.  You can appreciate that there are many Health and Safety issues surrounding this much needed development, and naturally it would not be safe for Pupils and Parents to be present.

 

On behalf of the Governors I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but we felt it was important that we notified you as soon as possible.
