The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for very high winds of up to 80mph to hit the North West from tomorrow evening (Tuesday) until Friday. 

In response Electricity North West, the region’s power network operator, is closely monitoring the weather and has extra engineers on standby to help keep the lights on and repair any potential damage.

Electricity North West’s customer team is also providing regular updates and advice for customers on both Twitter and Facebook, 24 hours a day.

Electricity North West’s partners, the British Red Cross are also on standby to offer extra support to vulnerable customers. Vulnerable customers, including some older or disabled people, or those with a medical dependency on electricity, can sign up to the Priority Services Register by visiting www.electricitynorthwwest.co.uk/priority or contacting us on 0800 195 4141. 

As always safety and restoring power is our top priority. Please stay away from any fallen power lines and report it to us as soon as possible.
