Dear Parents
Following work scrutiny throughout Classes 1 – 6 and discussions with all Staff, I, on behalf of the Governors, would like to ask all families for their support in trying to hear your child read daily. (Apologies and thanks must be given to those families who already hear their child read and discuss books daily).
We would like to actively encourage Parents/Carers/Grandparents etc. to come into School to read with their children and others.
We would like to invite you to attend our “Lets Read Together” sessions on Mondays (Classes 1, 2, 3 and 4) and Wednesdays (Classes 5 and 6) from 2.30pm to 3.00pm.
These sessions do not require CRB/DBS disclosures as they will be overseen by Teaching Staff in the classrooms.
The School welcomes partnership with all members of the school community. Our reading standards have been judged to be significantly above National in the past and we naturally want to continue the excellent teaching and partnership work with yourselves to help every child succeed and reach their full potential. Primarily
Many thanks for your support.
